Hair loss in men — the honest overview
By 50, about half of all men have significant hair loss. What separates the ones who feel fine about it is not luck — it is having made a conscious choice among the real options.

What is happening
Male pattern loss is genetic sensitivity to DHT. Temples recede, the crown thins, eventually the two meet. It is progressive — decisions made early keep more options open.
The real options, without marketing
1. Accept and own it
Genuinely the right answer for many men. A good barber, a clean shave or a short crop — done confidently, it works.
2. Medical treatment
Evidence-based options exist that can slow or partially reverse early loss — they are prescription territory and need a dermatologist's guidance, and they work best while hair is still there. They stop working when you stop.
3. Hair transplant
Moves your own follicles from the back to the front. Works well for the hairline; limited by donor supply — it cannot create density that the donor area does not have, and ongoing loss around grafts continues. We wrote an honest comparison: hair system vs. transplant.
4. A modern hair system
Not your grandfather's toupee. A custom system of real human hair, colour- and density-matched, bonded or clipped, looking like grown hair — full density immediately, any hairline you want, at a fraction of surgical cost. The full picture: hairsystems.ph.
How to decide
- Early thinning, want to keep what you have? Dermatologist, soon.
- Receded hairline, good donor hair, budget, patience? Transplant consult — ask hard questions about density.
- Want full density now, non-surgical, reversible? Hair system consultation.
- Not bothered? Clippers. Zero maintenance, zero cost, high confidence.
